New construction of a 5 story addition to the existing Arthur Bournes Building totaling 30,700 square feet
Containing 4 floors of new research labs and a designated area on the 1st floor to house the largest NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) Magnet on McMaster Campus
Major construction components included poured concrete foundation, structural steel frame, precast concrete exterior wall panels and aluminum curtain wall and glazing
State of the art mechanical and air handling systems serviced the custom made laboratory fumehoods among the various floors.
Modular steel frame lab furniture offers the users flexibility to revise lab layouts in the future to accommodate different types of research projects.
