Biomolecular / Materials Research Annex
Arthur Bournes Building - West Wing Addition, Hamilton, Ontario

2002/2003

•  New construction of a 5 story addition to the existing Arthur Bournes Building totaling 30,700 square feet

•  Containing 4 floors of new research labs and a designated area on the 1st floor to house the largest NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) Magnet on McMaster Campus

•  Major construction components included poured concrete foundation, structural steel frame, precast concrete exterior wall panels and aluminum curtain wall and glazing

•  State of the art mechanical and air handling systems serviced the custom made laboratory fumehoods among the various floors.

•  Modular steel frame lab furniture offers the users flexibility to revise lab layouts in the future to accommodate different types of research projects.

$8,000,000.00
