Dundas Valley School of Art

The Dundas Valley School of Art is locaed in a historically significant building in Dundas, originally constructed in the 1800's. The complete renovation, restoration, and exterior facelift were completed while still providing occupancy for the client.

2013 Urban Design & Architecture Merit Award for Heritage Conservation

Scope of Work:

• Complete renovations to a historically significant building in downtown Dundas, originally constructed in the 1800's.
• Full upgrades to entire mechanical and electrical systems, including removal of boiler system and installation of HVAC systems, lighting, and sprinkler system.
• Removed and replaced all windows, provided an EIFS finish, and built a new roof with installation to bring building up to current codes.
• Renovation of existing building to accomodate a new administration area, art studios, art galleries, library, darkroom, media centre, and pottery space.
• Maintained all existing original wood floors and planks.
