Requirements:

Education:

• Completion of high school

• Carpenter trade certification

• Some/Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Experience:

• 10 years of experience on ICI projects up to $10 million

• Valid driver's licence

• Gold Seal membership in the Canadian Construction Associtation

• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Well organized with a high standard of documentation, quality control, and safety

• Self-motivated

• Able to multi-task

• Teamwork is always a priority

Duties:

• Applicant to provide overall managment and supervision of operations on the construction site

• Plan, organize, direct and control daily operations

• Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates

• Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress

• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractural agreements

• Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control

• Select trade subcontractors and co-ordinate their activities

• Prepare reports including submitting 3-week look ahead schedules

• Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors
